FESTA Tano
Rome, 1938 - 1988
After technical studies, he debuted in 1960 in the international climate in Rome with its links with the American scene, alongside Angeli, Novelli, Twombly, Rotella, Perilli, Kounellis and Fioroni. After concentrating on objects, at the end of the 1960's he began doing paintings with photographic references, above all of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel. From 1978 onwards, in greater isolation, he painted flowingly stylised two-dimensional representational works.
