Gradisca (Gorizia), 1889 - Turin, 1958 Painter, illustrator. Technical studies. He encountered the Futurist movement in Gorizia. He presented abstract-geometric works at the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris (1925). He moved to Turin in 1928, where he worked as a graphic designer and illustrator, attracting the praise of Persico, Venturi and Chessa, with his lively, fluid Matisse-inspired style. After the war he began working with a personal, gestural brand of Expressionism, getting progressively more abstract, and tending towards Art Informel.
