CASORATI Felice
Novara, 1883 - Turin, 1963
Painter and sculptor. Eminent figure on the Turin and Italian art scene. In Turin from 1918, he joined forces with Venturi, Gobetti and Gualino, becoming one of the key figures in the Turin avant-garde cultural scene. His painting gathers the influences of the Secessioni, Expressionism and the Metaphysical movement, recomposing them in strict classical order, where the lessons of the Italian Renaissance resurface, together with abstract harmony of volumes. From 1952 he directed the Turin Accademia Albertina.
