CASONI Aurelia

Turin, 1923 Trained in Turin in Casorati circles, her exhibitions ran parallel to those of her brother Ezio, with whom she exhibited at the Venetian Biennales (from 1948 to 1956) and in personal exhibitions in Turin. In the 1940's and 50's she went from stylised abstracts with two-dimensional backgrounds similar to the works of Moreni, to a chromatic mixture which could be termed 'abstract-naturalism'.
