Imola, 1925 – 2014
He began as a self-taught artist in his hometown, then working there from 1952 to 1980 at the artistic atelier of the Luigi Lolli psychiatric hospital. The first solo exhibition, in 1958 at the Circolo della Cultura in Bologna, was presented by Maurizio Calvesi, who followed him throughout his artistic journey. He created works of various kinds, including iron sculptures, rags, metal sheets, crushed cans and installations immersed in natural space.
