MAINOLFI Luigi

Rotondi (Avellino), 1948

Sculptor. At the end of the 1970's he began working on an innovative style of representational art with fantastic, mythical and totem connotations, using natural materials (terracotta, wood, chalk, and lava stone, as well as bronze) and inspired by the archaic folk traditions of his native Campania region. His works also feature abstract and environmental elements. He has taken part in numerous Biennale shows in Europe and personal and collective exhibitions.
