GASTINI Marco

Turin, 1938 – 2018

He trained at the Accademia Albertina, and debuted in the early 1960's with works which tend to monochrome. In the early 1970's he began to use plexiglas in place of canvas, then to work directly on the wall itself, with molten lead and antimony. His studies of sign, space and media led him to more material solutions, replacing colour with material 'signs' (woods, coal, carob, slivers of metal).
