BOTTO & BRUNO (Gianfranco Botto e Roberta Bruno)

Turin, 1963 and 1966

After training at the Turin Accademia Albertina, they began working together in 1992. Their video work and installations tell the stories of lives hidden among the fog and swamps of the urban hinterland. In 1998 they won first prize in 'Torino incontra l'Arte' with Soft city. They specialise in large prints and wallpapers for Italian and foreign exhibition centres. In 2001 they took part in the Venice Biennale with the project entitled House where nobody lives.
