PARMIGGIANI Claudio

Luzzara (Reggio Emilia), 1943 He studied art in Modena, where he met Giorgio Morandi. He debuted in 1962. He soon left painting to concentrate on the poetry of objects, focusing on the metaphorical nature of objects taken out of context, painted, broken or 'disguised', with analogical associations of a surrealist nature. Constant features in his work are aspirations to invisibility and the silence of the work, set against the spectacularity of art.
