PASCALI Pino

Bari, 1935 - Rome, 1968 He worked as a set designer for television and in advertising graphics. In 1965 he exhibited at the La Tartaruga Gallery in Rome, with cambered canvas reproductions of architectural and anatomical details; this was followed by Armi [Arms], his contribution to an art form approaching American Pop Art. Then he began working on installations in natural and man-made materials on a natural theme, taking him close to the Arte Povera movement. In 1969 the GNAM in Rome hosted his first retrospective.
