DESSÍ Gianni

Rome, 1955 Among the protagonists in the Eighties of the New Roman School of the former Pastificio Cecere, he changed his artistic language passing from large surfaces with complex shapes and techniques to the breaking of the three-dimensionality of the work, towards a space beyond the borders of the canvas. Training linked to avant-garde theater and the influence of figuration are two crucial elements within his production path. Since 2013 he has taught painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara and is currently vice president of the Academy of San Luca in Rome.
