Andorno Micca (Biella), 1944 He debuted in 1967 with a personal exhibition at the Sperone gallery in Turin, with works focussing on elementary chemical and physical phenomena. In 1967 he joined the Arte Povera movement. The themes of chemical and physical transmutation, the polarity of energy, alchemy, the affinity between mind and matter, balance and disorder recur throughout his work, together with energetic motifs such as the poised javelin, the five-pointed star and the canoe.
