GRIFFA Giorgio

Turin, 1936 A law graduate, he took up painting under the guidance of Filippo Scroppo. In 1968, when he debuted at the Martano Gallery in Turin, he abandonned all representational art and began to explore the fundamental elements of painting, first and foremost line and colour. He uses these elements like suspended scores of decorative lines and strokes of liquid colour.
