Biography

A painter. He studied at the Accademia Albertina in Turin and in 1925 he went to Paris. On his return, he started painting, showing his works in a number of Italian exhibitions. In the 1950s he worked on major mural decorations (the Commodities Exchange in Turin, 1951). His work was constantly inspired by landscapes and rural life, with natural tones and a candour that is not without a sense of disquiet. He taught for many years at the Accademia Albertina.
