Biography

A painter, sculptor, stage designer and theoretician. Right from his Futurist debut (Galleria Sprovieri, Rome, 1914) he played a leading role in the movement, making it known, establishing relationships with European avant-garde movements and working on theory. His experimentation involved a fusion of techniques and a drive towards the sum total. Through the Art Club in Rome during the post-war period, he promoted international modernisation among the young generation.
