Biography

Born in Turin in 1945, Max Pellegrini attended here the Albertina Academy and the faculty of Architecture, where he taught urban sociology and art. After the first solo show at the gallery Il Punto,  in 1966, with feminine portraits of pop inspiration, participates with the Fluxus group at the Turin art scene around The Piper. Independent artist, with a style that evokes a surreal performance in progress, has participated in the Venice Biennale in 1980, 1982 and 2011. Among the latest exhibitions, "Surprise" (GAM, Torino 2013), "A tale. Max Pellegrini and Italo Cremona” (Italian Cultural Institute, New York 2014), “Max Pellegrini: A  Retrospective Exhibition "(Palm Desert, California, 2015-2016).
