Biography

He moved to Turin in 1926, where he studied under M. Guerrisi, participating in exhibitions in Turin, in 1931, with works poised between realism, archaism and a personal interpretation of Futurist sculpture. He took part in the Quadriennali in Rome (from 1935) and in the Venice Biennales (from 1936), where in 1958 he won the main prize for sculpture, with works that tended more towards an informal kind of abstractionism. He received important public commissions in the post-war period and later years
