Biography

After studying under M. Boglione at the Accademia Albertina, he was already exhibiting at the Venice Biennale in 1940, and later took part in other international exhibitions. In 1957 he took up the post of Professor of Engraving. His sole techniques were etching, drypoint and watercolour, and his favourite subjects animals, flowers and objects which he portrayed in subtly lyrical compositions. In 1987, the Accademia Albertina devoted a retrospective exhibition to his work.
