MORBELLI Angelo

Alessandria, 1853 – Milan, 1919

Painter. He studied at Brera with G. Bertini, and subsequently stayed on in Milan. He debuted in the historical genre then began exploring social themes, with greater intensity after adopting Pointillist techniques in the 1890's, encountering the critic Grubicy de Dragon and becoming friends with G.
