MOLLINO Carlo

Turin, 1905 – 1973

Architect, designer and interior designer. Eminent figure on the architectural scene in Turin and post-war Italy, he abandonned 'rational' geometries for greater freedom of expression. He graduated in architecture from the Accademia Albertina in Turin (1931) and turned out some original creations (RAI Auditorium, 1950-53, Chamber of Commerce 1965-72), culminating in the reconstruction of the Regio Theatre (1965-73).
